222012 Breeding Season

Pairing #1:  Sharpie (Bredl's Jag) x Anais (Coastal Jag)

2/1/2102:  Multiple copulations resulted from this pairing.  I had Anais in with my GTP male but he didn't want anything to do with her whatsoever.  Either he is gay or he isn't into "bigger" woman.  He is about 1/8 the size of her in weight so he may have been intimidated.  None the less, it looks like Sharpie did his job.  Anais (Pronounced Ana - Ace) has officially ovulated and eggs are being developed as we speak.  She's a monster and this is her second clutch, so I am expecting/hoping for 25-30 eggs.  The Sharpie Jags from last year are turning out to be amazing and I would expect these to be just as good.

                            Sire: Sharpie the Bredl's Jaguar

Dam:  Anais (Brock Coastal Jaguar)

Pairing #2:   Sharpie x Phillipi (Jungle Carpet Python)

This should turn out to be interesting.  The main goal here it to inject more potent yellow into the Bredl's Jags.  Sharpie has really nice yellow for a Bredl's Jag and this should only make the resultant offspring that much better.   Lots of copulations witnessed, possible ovulation and food refusal so that is a good sign!

Pairing #3:   Pure Jungles (Turner x Price Lineage)

What can I say about this pair.  Super bright, velvet black, and aberrant patterns.  With lineage like this, they gotta be good!   This will be the first clutch for the Turner line Dam so fingers crossed.  I would estimate clutch size to be in the 10-15 ranges.  Copulations witnessed, but no signs of ovulation yet.  Is the Price male too young to breed?  We shall find out soon.

Pairing #4:  88% Jungle Jaguars (Hare x Curtin Lineage)

The male Curtin line 75% Jungle Jag comes from one of the best jungle jaguar lines in the country.   He is Riddlers brother, not quite as nice, but no slouch either!  The Hare line Dam has a ton of black, so babies will be interesting to say the least.   Copulations witnessed a few times, no signs of ovulation yet but I live in the desert and it is warm here so my seasons are typically later than most other carpet breeders.
